It is time to renew, change or drop your Medicare plans. The 2012 open enrollment period for Medicare is on October 15- December 7, 2011. IBC America, a national insurance and financial brokerage will be at the Conroe Friendship Center beginning October 12 each Wednesdays through and including Wednesday, December 7th from 10:00-12:00noon. IBC America will not visit Friendship Center the week of Thanksgiving, but will be at the center on Monday of that week, November 21. IBC America will be available to answer any questions related to enrolling in a Medicare plan.
Whether you chose to use IBC America or some other insurance company for enrolling in the 2011 Medicare plans, it is important to understand your medical needs and know your prescription drugs in order to choose the best plan that covers your needs. To avoid falling into the prescription “donut” hole too early, one might consider using a prescription discount card (Wal-mart, Walgreens etc). There is a spending limit to the Part D and one can often avoid meeting that limit by purchasing the lower cost prescriptions in another manner.
